Account Registration Guide

NickServ is quite possibly the most important service bot Global Gamers offers because all of our other network service bots are based off of your NickServ account. NickServ stores all of your account information including channel access, registered nicks, fakehost information, and more. NickServ commands can be used via /msg NickServ COMMAND or /ns COMMAND if your client supports it. It is critical to have a NickServ account on GG. Commands

ACCOUNTINFO - Displays NickServ account information.
/msg NickServ ACCOUNTINFO nick/*account

ADDIGNORE - Adds the specifed hostmask to your account ignore list.
/msg NickServ ADDIGNORE host@mask

ADDMASK - Adds the specified hostmask to your NickServ account. If left blank, it will add your current hostmask.
/msg NickServ ADDMASK host@mask

AUTH - Authenticates you to your account.
/msg NickServ@services.globalgamers.net AUTH username password

AUTHCOOKIE - If an email address is set to your account, this will send a "cookie" to your email address to allow you to auth to your account.
/msg NickServ AUTHCOOKIE account

COOKIE - Command used to complete the maintenance on your account. (ie. account activation, authcookie, or password change.)
/msg NickServ COOKIE cookie

DELCOOKIE - Deletes a "cookie" request set on your account.
/msg NickServ DELCOOKIE

DELIGNORE - Removes the specified hostmask from your account ignore list.
/msg NickServ DELIGNORE host@mask

DELMASK - Deletes a hostmask setting on your account.
/msg NickServ DELMASK host@mask

GHOST - Requests another client currently authenticated to your account be disconnected from the network.
/msg NickServ GHOST nick

HELP - Displays detailed NickServ assistance and/or help on a specific command.
/msg NickServ HELP command

NICKINFO - Displays what account a nick is currently registered to. (if any)
/msg NickServ NICKINFO nick

PASS - Changes your account password.
/msg NickServ@services.globalgamers.net PASS current-password new-password

RECLAIM - Forces a nick change on any user currently occupying one of your registered nicks.
/msg NickServ RECLAIM nick

REGISTER - Register a NickServ account. The email field is optional.
/msg NickServ@services.globalgamers.net REGISTER username password email@address

REGNICK - Registers your current nick.
/msg NickServ REGNICK

RESETPASS - If an email address is set to your account, this will send a "cookie" to your email address to allow you to change your account password.
/msg NickServ RESETPASS account new-password

UNREGISTER - Unregisters your account.
/msg NickServ UNREGISTER password

UNREGNICK - Unregisters one of your registered nicks.
/msg NickServ UNREGNICK nick

SET - Change your account settings.
/msg NickServ SET option

• INFO - Account infoline.
  /msg NickServ SET INFO infoline
• WIDTH - Width space services will send messages to you. (Advanced.)
  /msg NickServ SET WIDTH value
• TABLEWIDTH - Table width services will send messages to you. (Advanced.)
  /msg NickServ SET TABLEWIDTH value
• COLOR - Toggles whether or not services will send you colored, bold, or underlined messages.
  /msg NickServ SET COLOR on/off
• PRIVMSG - Toggles whether or not services will send messages in NOTICE or PRIVMSG.
  /msg NickServ SET PRIVMSG on/off
• EMAIL - Sets an email address to your account.
  /msg NickServ SET EMAIL email@address
• ANNOUNCEMENTS - Toggles whether or not Global announcements will be sent to you.
  /msg NickServ SET ANNOUNCEMENTS on/off
• AUTOHIDE - Toggles whether or not services will force usermode +x on your when you authenticate.
  /msg NickServ SET AUTOHIDE on/off
• AUTOTRUSTME - Toggles whether or not services will automatically set usermode +x on you when you authenticate.
  /msg NickServ SET AUTOTRUSTME on/off
• AUTORECLAIM - Toggles whether or not services will automatically trust your new IP when you log into your account and have a dynamic trust.
  /msg NickServ SET AUTORECLAIM on/off
• MAXLOGINS - Number of clients allowed to be authenticated to your account at any given time. (Max: 10)
  /msg NickServ SET MAXLOGINS value
• LANGUAGE - English is currently the only language supported, therefore this command is useless.
• FAKEHOST - Displays your current fakehost. Network staff must set your Fakehost.
  /msg NickServ SET FAKEHOST
• ADVANCED - Toggles whether or not advanced commands and settings will be shown to your account.
  /msg NickServ SET ADVANCED on/off

USERINFO - Displays what account a nick is currently authenticated to.
/msg NickServ USERINFO nick

VACATION - Preserves your account from expiration until your next authentication.
/msg NickServ VACATION
